ETI HAs a NEW PRESIDENT On the 31 st of March, our Executive Director Eng. Carlos Felix, was appointed by Empordef (SGPS)’s General Assembly with the endorsement of the Defense Ministry, as the new president of ETI- Simulation and Engineering Solutions, assuming his new duties from the 1st of April. Appointed as Member of the Board of our company since July 2004, early in his professional career, took great responsibility on his duties. Ogma was the first company, where he started his journey in leadership roles.
In addition to the general responsibilities assigned to the Chairman of the Board, Eng.Carlos Felix will continue ensuring his previous performed functions.

PAIC Program results presentation On the 4 thJanuary at Military and Technical Training Air Force (CFMTFA) Centre, the Portuguese Aerospace Consortium (PAIC), with the support of the Portuguese Air Force, through its Academy and the General Directorate of Armaments, infrastructure and Equipment of Defense presented the final results of PAIC project related program counterparts on the modernization of Lockheed P-3C Orion .
During the project, the consortium PAIC achieved all the objectives it had set. The two aircraft PAIC SP-01 and SP-00 EMPIRE TRAINER already have a great number of flight hours, tested in different conditions and with different operational characteristics, which allowed the consortium to provide a cross-sectional and extended knowledge on the development and operation of those systems.
The E-MITS (Enhanced Multimedia Interactive Training System) is a maintenance and operation procedures cockpit trainer of the C-295 aircraft. Providing a realistic simulation of the aircraft systems in a touch screen replica of the aircraft cockpit, E-MITS significantly reduces the learning curve of students along the C-295 training courses. E-MITS simulates in normal and abnormal conditions the power plant, electrical, fuel, hydraulics, pneumatic, oil, de-icing, anti-icing, fire protection, landing gear, air conditioning, pressurisation and navigation systems. The Instructor Station allows the creation of specific and optimized exercises to permit the crew to achieve their learning goals faster. The Instructor can either control the training session through the Instructor Station or by a tablet computer. Recently ETI has deployed six units of E-MITS at the Airbus Military Training Centre in Seville.

AICEP and DANOTEC are organizing the ANNUAL CONVENTION ASD - Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe, which will be held in Lisbon, between October the 10th & 12th, at the Congress Centre in Lisbon.This Convention is the largest and most important event in the aviation industry in Europe and is held annually in one of the ASD' members association country. ETI delivered to the Portuguese Air Force, to its physiological training center, a lightening control system for a NIGHT VISION SIMULATOR WITH NVG’s. The simulator will ensure the training of military people thatuses the NVG 's, through the simulation / visualization of the various effects that can occur in real situations in the use of NVG’s.
The CTEC (High Complexity Tactical Scenarios) is a Research and Development project, co-funded by QREN/FEDER through the IAPMEI. This project has a duration of 10 months and involves an investment of 227,000 euros, which has an approval incentive of 51,000 euros.
The aim of the project is the development of a high complexity tactical scenarios for military operations like conventional war or peace keeping operations. The outputs of this R&D project, i.e., the complex tactical scenarios will be an added value to Armored infantry fighting vehicles Trainers (AIFV), by enhancing the training of respective crews exposing them to different, large scale and complex military incidents such as riots or standard war scenarios. As a demonstrator of the developments under this R&D project, the outputs will be incorporated on an existing AIFV trainer developed by ETI.
